Gold Chevron Canvas

Step One:
Get the supplies you need. I found these items at an art store and a home improvement store.
Paint brush
Blue paint tape
Staple Gun with staples

Gold Fabric Paint (I used this brand below in Brass color)
Wood Frame for Canvas( I used 2 of 38" and 2 of 46")
A fabric ( I used a natural linen and got 2 yards of this fabric)
Step Two:
Wash and Iron the fabric.  Assemble wood frame, they are tongue and groove so you just push them together.  Ask the person at the art store to show you if you have not done this before.
Step Three:
Lay frame over fabric with flat side of wood frame on fabric, round grooves up.  Cut off access fabric leaving enough to fold over frame.
Staple fabric starting with opposite sides pulling tight.
Opposite side stapled.
Leave enough room on the corner when you are stapling so you can make a fold in the fabric. Cut off access fabric.
Fold down one side of the fabric.
The fold over the other side. Then staple.

You canvas should look like this.
Step Four:
Sketch out your design on a notecard or paper.  Since my dimensions were 38" by 46" I decided to divide 38 by four and got 9.5 inches.  Each row is 9.5 inches.  Each stripe is 5 inches wide

Then I determined where the gold paint should go on a notecard.
Step Five:
Mark out your spacing on the canvas with a pen and begin to tape out the design.

Each stripe is 5 inches top and bottom.

Step Six:
Paint the gold spaces gold!

Step Seven:
Continue down taping and painting each row switch the direction of the rows.  I cut the blue tape to fit each section.

Step Eight:
Let it dry then hang it up!!!!

Room  is complete!
