Play table and chair makeover

This table and chair set was originally pretty beat up and bright red, yellow and blue. I found this set at a thrift store for around $20. Here is the original.

First I took off the chair cushions which are attached by screws and then spray painted everything. I taped some paper over the top of the table and removed the blue plastic edge around the table top. I spray painted everything either white or mint.

I recovered the cushions with fabric. The fabric print is from April Rhodes Arizona collection.
I love all of her fabrics!

I reassembled all of the pieces and put it back together.

I used a staple gun to attach new fabric onto chair cushions.

Little Tikes car make-over

I have been wanting to get a little tikes car but have not seen any that I love. Since this toy spends a lot of time indoors due to rainy days I wanted to make sure it was easy on the eyes.
I found a little tikes car at the goodwill and purchased it for $15. These go for close to $50 new. I picked up some spray paint and got it home to take apart and begin to paint. Taking it apart was easier than I expected. The back wheels pop off and I covered the front wheels with a plastic bag and painters tape. It took a few coats of paint but in the end I am so happy with how it turned out!
Here is the car before the paint.

Custom Play Kitchen

I found this wooden kitchen at a thrift store for $30.

I sanded off some paint and glue that was on it and then I took off all of the knobs and the doors.

I had some help from my daughter.

Then I painted it!

Then we put it back together and my daughter added her items to it.

Here it is!

Fabric Bins

I came across these patterns to make fabric bins on pinterest.   I made some adjustments to the design by making the bin larger and made two so that the bin would be lined. I placed the black pattern fabric bin inside the grey with the wrong sides together and sewed together.
